- Name: Jennifer Vranes
Painting is my passion! It’s what a love to do. I think my parents knew I was an artist the first time I elaborately decorated my mother's kitchen cabinets with markers at age two! Today, I still paint with vibrant colors and expressive texture. My texture is so thick, in fact, and so different from anything seen before, that I invented a name for my technique. I call it, “Textures of Life”.
Galleries and Collectors know me best for my Aspen and Birch Trees. With my technique, I make the trunks of the Aspen literally feel like real bark! I also have a very popular series on large European landscapes…like fields of lavender, poppies, and vineyards.
On this blog, I will post paintings as I complete them. You are among the first to see my newest works! Each painting is done on canvas, with the sides painted, so framing is not necessary. I usually finish a painting every day, Monday through Saturday. If there is a particular scene you'd like me to paint, let me know. You are my inspiration! Please stay in touch.

I am so in love with your paintings. The texture is so amazing and like nothing I have ever seen before. It truly makes your painting come alive. I own several of your originals that I bought before you were famous and more expensive--and I love owning original paintings rather than prints. I have two Jen Vranes on my House office walls in the Oregon State Capitol. They get more positive comments than anything else in the office. Now I can add to my collection with top quality, affordable fine art. Thanks to Jen Vranes for sharing her incredible talent with Oregon and the world.
I am such a big fan. I am always so excited to recieve the collectors email each month displaying new paintings. Now I get to see a new one each day. I have an original vranes painting in my home and it brings me such joy . Nobody does texture like you. I can't wait to add to my collection.
Wow, how amazing that you can put that much detail and perspective in a 6 X 6 square. Not everybody has a huge wall for your enourmous paintings. This is a way to put your paintings around the house or apartment in smaller spaces. I love it, I also love that they pull out from the wall. I now can have interesting views at every angle around the house. I get appreciative comments about my three vrane's all the time. Thank you Jen.
